Reaching for Our Goals.

As the carillon system in the University's historic Bell Tower rang in the spring 2005 semester, the first day was celebrated with a dedication ceremony for a magnificent fountain that now graces our campus (see story page 5). The fountain is another tangible example of the outstanding support that has been bestowed upon California State University Channel Islands by our neighbor John Spoor Broome and his family. We are truly blessed to have such a champion of higher education right here in our region. The symbolism of the fountain depicts students reaching for their goals. As always, the most important job for all of us who work at CSUCI is to support these men and women in their efforts.
