Plate 39. Elector's summer residence Poppelsdorf in Bonn
Color engraving of the Elector's palace Poppelsdorf in Bonn. As well as his official residence in Bonn, the Elector had a palace at the village of Poppelsdorf. Elector Maximilian Franz enjoyed staying at Poppelsdorf and would often bring his court musicians, including the young Beethoven, to perform in the palace.
