Color engraving of the King's Chair (Königsstuhl) at Rhens (Rense) on the Rhine, with a distant view of Lahnstein (Lohnstein). The original building was destroyed during the Napoleonic Wars. The Königsstuhl is where the seven Electors met to choose the next Holy Roman Emperor.
