- Located on one end of the Centennial Lagoon, these structures were loosely based on pavilions that had been built for the 1884 Cotton Exposition. The seven buildings, known as the Centennial Pavilion, were basically giant gazebos without any displays or exhibits, but at least they did provide some shade.
