The programs included the Egmont Overture, op. 84; the Fourth Piano Concerto, op. 58 (with soloist Myra Hess); the Eroica Symphony, op. 55, Lenore Overture no. 2; the Violin Concerto, op. 61 (with soloist Efrem Zimbalist), the Fifth Symphony, op. 67; the Coriolan Overture, op. 62; the Fifth Piano Concerto, op. 73 (with soloist Josef Hofmann); the First Symphony, op. 21; and the Ninth Symphony, op. 125. Includes program notes on the First and Ninth Symphonies by Philip Hale.
