SJS Team Reported Assigned to Police Duty in Honolulu

The San Jose State football team was in Honolulu when Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941. Team members assisted in the aftermath as deputized members of the police force. Many then entered the military and fought in the war. (Spartan Daily, December 9, 1941)
