  • Exhibited: The Beethovens on the Rhine (2020). Exhibition text: In Augsburg, Beethoven stayed at the guesthouse “Zum Weissen Lamm.” Here he furthered his acquaintance with the family of Joseph von Schaden and his wife Anna, an excellent pianist who was friends with the Stein family of fortepiano builders who later played an important role in Beethoven’s life in Vienna.
