Zariah Walker COVID-19 Photograph of Dog "Seven"
One photograph from a collection representing Zariah Walker's experiences in nature during the COVID-19 pandemic. The contributor writes that the collection is about "what the pandemic has forced me to appreciate, which is nature, the moments we take for granted, and life itself. With everything being closed, our only form of leisure that can be safely done outside was going on hikes or nature walks. These were places where I could forget about the chaos of the outside world and distress from assignments due for SJSU. The events that took place in 2020 were necessary chaos for the world to take a look in the mirror and create the change needed for a better world. These photos were taken at Henry Cowell State park in Santa Cruz and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. My old roommate's dog, Seven, and myself are in these photos. All of these photos were taken in August and September of 2020."
