Camarillo State Hospital Governor's Council Report
This six page document is the governor's council report for the month of November written by F.H. Garrett to discuss the study of returnees. In this study a psychiatric social worker was assigned to interview all patients who returned from Convalescent Leave. The purpose of this study is create an early contact with the patient and families to better support them in their journey. The first reason is to offer patients with the immediate service to patients that were returned, the second reason was to bring to the physician's attention an evaluative summary for the reasons for the patients return collected from the Bureau of Social work, family and friends, and other agencies. The third reason is to conduct a pilot study of patients returned from Convalescent Leave in preparation for a formal research request.
