Rollin photographs Joel

Rollin photographs Joel and his own reflection using a Kodak 35mm camera that he had purchased about 1940. This camera was used to take most of the color photographs in this collection. It had a fixed mount 50mm lens that had to be zone focused by estimating the distance of the subject. Similarly, the exposure had to be estimated using a chart on the back of the camera. Surprisingly, the majority of Rollin's slides were in focus and properly exposed. He used a variety of transparency films, but the best and most enduring of his images were taken with Kodachrome, a film renowned for its saturated color and longevity.
