Dr. Ernesto Galarza Scholarship Symposium Program 1991

Program for the 7th Annual Dr. Ernesto Galarza Symposium, held at San Jose State University on Friday, April 19, 1991 at 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. The Master of Ceremonies was Dolores Hermosillo. This event included a Welcome by Dr. Ray Lou (Associate Academic Vice President – Undergraduate Studies), Introduction of Keynote Speaker by Alberto Carrillo (Co-Chair, Dr. Ernesto Galarza Symposium Committee, Keynote by Dr. Renato Rosaldo (Professor, Stanford University), Presentation of Scholarship Awards by Deanna Gonzales, and Closing Comments by Gabriel Reyes. Ten awards were presented: Sam Garcia Memorial Scholarship – Pueblo de San José Kiwanis, Mexican American Community Services Association (MACSA) Scholarship, Chicano/Latino Faculty and Staff Association Scholarship (2 awards), The Observador Scholarship, and Fujitsu Scholarship (5 awards).
