Priest's House of Trent
About 1440, John Franks a native of Trent who became a Master of the Rolls, and acted as lord Chancellor for Henry VI, founded a chantry chapel in the church at Trent, so that prayers might be said daily for his soul. The Chapel which was a feature of this period before the reformation, has been destroyed, but this fine house built for the chantry priest remains.
