[1940s campus housing]
Looking north from a housing unit on campus. The folder indicates that they were called "chicken coops" at one point, and the 1942 yearbook references these dorms as chicken coops, their official names in the 1942 yearbook was "Dormitory 3" "Dormitory 4" "Dormitory 5" "Dormitory 6." The folder description suggests 1939, however in the 1942 yearbook it sounds like these are newly completed dorms. Dormitory 3 was used by civil service trainees. Located between Dexter Library and Vetville, which were both constructed later in the 1940s.
