Leyva won the title of queen of the court of honor, which was supervised by the Mexiacan Honor Comission. Hidalgo is famously regarded as the "Father of Mexican Independence" because of his role as the leader of the Mexican War of Independence. The headline reads "II centenario de Hidalgo." (transl. 2nd Centenary of Hidalgo).
