Video and transcripts of a guest lecture by artist Judith "Judy" Baca at the San Jose Museum of Art, presenting her 'Beyond the Mexican' mural. Baca also discusses how she designed the "Great Wall of Los Angeles" and the experiences and influences for her artwork as the mural depicts the diverse, ethnic, and multicultural history of Los Angeles; created with the support of youths, fellow artists, and members of the community, that the mural was able to be done. Blanca Alverado provides an introduction to the "Great Wall of Los Angeles" before transitioning to Baca's lecture. She speaks about her experience as a Mexican-American woman growing up.
