Wiggsy Siversten, a long time activist and faculty member, emphasized the importance of public policy makers educating themselves on HIV/AIDS. Rampant misinformation and paranoia created a signifigant threat to many, especially members of LGBTQ+ communities. (Spartan Daily, November 26, 1985)
