Hampton Court Palace

Although the roof of the Great Hall is Gothic in construction, the pendants, spandrels and corbels, designed by Richard Rydge, are in the Renaissance style. The Renaissance ornamentation of the spandrels was by Michael Joyner with the king's arms and the king's beasts treated in the Late Gothic manner. Tudor badges are carved on pendants and corbels amid cherubs, balusters, and foliage.
