Chambered Burial Mound
One of a later type of burial chamber in which the interior space is more nearly related in form to the exterior. Circular in plan, it consists of a passage entrance leading to a central chamber. The mound is retained by a ring of large stones, and its construction is similar to other examples in Ireland, Brittany, and Portugal. It seems clear that the structure is in the form of a dwelling place, though made with more durable materials.
