- Dear Sir, The relics mentioned in your letter consist of a locket with hair in it that was the property of Fanny Ginzkey, and also a flower from Beethoven's grave. Miss Ginzkey received these relics from the daughter of Hutten Crenner [Hüttenbrenner], and he was a most intimate friend of Beethoven, in fact Beethoven died in his arms. Fanny Ginzkey has recently passed away, a very old lady, but there is no doubt of the genuineness of these rare relics. They will be sold to the highest bidder, and the money will go to the heirs of Fanny Ginzkey. Yours respectfully, Theo. Presser Co.
