Dr. Ernesto Galarza Scholarship Symposium Program 1993

Program for the 9th Annual Dr. Ernesto Galarza Symposium, held at San Jose State University on Wednesday, May 5, 1993 at 5:30 PM – 7:40 PM. This event included a Social Hour, Welcome by Dr. Lou Holscher, Dr. Ray Lou (Vice President for Undergraduate Studies), and Ms. Lupe Zuniga (President, Chicano/Latino Faculty and Staff Association), Introduction of Keynote Speaker by Professor Jose Carrasco, Keynote Presentation by Professor Emeritus Jose Villa, Presentation of Scholarships by Mr. Gabriel Reyes, and Closing Remarks by Ms. Mae Galarza. Six awards were presented: Tom Alvarado Scholarship, Mexican American Community Services Association (MACSA) Scholarship, Chicano/Latino Faculty and Staff Association Scholarship (2 awards), El Pueblo de Kiwanis Scholarship, and SJSU School of Social Work Scholarship.
