Dr. Ernesto Galarza Scholarship Symposium Program 2000

Program for the Dr. Ernesto Galarza Scholarship Awards Ceremony, held at San Jose State University on Friday, December 15, 2000 from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM. The Mistress of Ceremonies was Monica Gomez, KNTV News Reporter. The event included a Reception, Welcome by Gabe Reyes (Special Assistant to the President), Keynote Address by Marco Antonio Diaz (Scholarship Recipient), Presentation of Scholarships by Frank Castillo (Scholarship Chair), and Closing Remarks by Elma Arredondo (CLFSA President). Seven awards were presented: Dr. Ernesto Galarza Memorial Scholarship, Pueblo de San José Kiwanis Club Scholarship, José Antonio Burciaga Memorial Scholarship, Cesar Chavez Memorial Scholarship, Mexican American Alumni Scholarship, Pete Tapia Memorial Scholarship, and Marisol Perez Memorial Scholarship.
