Stonehenge
The final period of work at Stonehenge consisted of reorganizing the older bluestone circle, which had been set aside. Some of these stones were dressed to form a small-sized trilithon. One of these uprights with a tenon on its top is seen to the right, while another, grooved down one side, was probably a lintel. However, all the remaining bluestones were finally arranged to form a horseshoe within the central space.
