Friend Ship Fund for Goods Abroad Soars to $1,800

Cash donations to buy food for the cargo of the Friend Ship Golden Bear skyrocketed yesterday to more than $1800 as generous Vallejoans lined up to send their good will to Europe's needy. In two days yesterday and Thursday more than $600 was received as local business and club groups and individuals rallied to give the California Maritime Academy training ship a good send-off on its relief mission.
