Negative shows a group of men and women who are y-Walk participants gathered together outside the YWCA building. The woman at the microphone, who appears to be an African American, is the chair Jenifer Williams, and the woman in the foreground on the left side of the picture is Janet Dashiel, a prize winner. Janet is possibly walking up to collect her prize. The plants behind Jenifer are probably prizes. Some of the other participants are holding balloons or have them tied down and some of the people are holding drinks. Many of them are wearing tee shirts that read: Walk for women. "YWCA 1986."
