In addition to the St. Louis premiere of Beethoven's Symphony no. 2, op. 36, the program included the Fantasia for piano from Don Giovanni performed by Thalberg; the Terzetto from the opera Ernani by Verdi for clarinet, bassoon, and French horn performed by Jochen Schulz, Theide, and Kuestenmacher; the Fantasia and variations for violin from Sonnambula by Artot, performed by Camille Urso, the Overture from Fingal's Cave by Mendelssohn; the Caprice from Lombardi by Jaell and Galop Characteristic by Quidant, performend by Jaell; the Castilian Galop by Lumbye performed by the Society; the Carneval of Venice for violin by Ernst, performed by Urso, and The Merry Figaro, a grand romantic pot-pouri by Hamm.
