Ernesto Galarza - Man of Fire Artwork Dedication Ceremony 1998

Program for the dedication of the artwork "Man of Fire" created by Kim Yasuda in remembrance of Dr. Ernesto Galarza. Held on September 16, 1998 at 4:00 PM. Following the dedication was a reception hosted by San José State University's Chicano/Latino Faculty and Staff Association in the Student Union Ballroom, preceding the Dr. Ernesto Glarza Scholarship Syposium. The Master of Ceremonies was Max Crumley (Chair, San José Arts Commission). Speakers included Dr. Ramon Martinez (Director, Grants and Resource Development, East Side Union High School District and Administrator, Ernesto Galarza Institute for Community Development), Karla Pope (Daughter, Ernesto and Mae Galarza), Susan Hammer (Mayor, San José), and Robert Caret (President, San José State University).
