Pickford Family 1875

Oliver Pickford (1830-1913) and Mary Ann Hooley (1828-1917) were born in Newton Moor, Cheshire County, England. They both emigrated to the United States about 1850 and were married in Taunton, Mass on October 22, 1853. Most of their children were born in Trempealeau County, WI. This photograph was taken on their 22nd wedding anniversary. The Family moved to California about the same time the photograph was taken. They Lived in Oakland and San Simeon for short periods of time, then finally settled in Fresno in 1881. This print is an enlarged copy of an earlier original print that no longer exists; the copy was created for the 50th wedding anniversary of Oliver and Mary Ann Pickford in 1903.
