Chicano/Latina New Student Welcome Reception 2011

Program for the Chicano/Latina New Studentg Welcome Reception. Held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM in the Barrett Ballroom. Hosted by the MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center. The Emcees were Anibal Astoga and Sandra Huerta (MOSAIC Diversity Advocate Interns). This event included a Welcome by Hyon Chu Yi-Baker (Director, MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center), Building Community Ice Breakers, Student Speech by Hector Shlimovitch (A.S. Director, Intercultural Affairs), Keynote Speech by Marcos Pizarro (Chair and Professor, Mexican American Studies), Dinner, Perfomance by Grupo Folklorico Luna y Sol, Spoken Word Performance by Sandra Huerta, Student Panel Presentation by Robert Garcia, Deanna Sisneros, and Christopher Temblador, and Closing Remarks.
