Autograph letter signed from Breitkopf & Härtel to Carl Haslinger, January 22, 1850
Autograph letter signed from the publishing firm Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig to Carl Haslinger in Vienna, dated 22 January 1850, concerning publication of Franz Liszt's piano transcription of An die ferne Geliebte. Liszt had indicated his wish that his transcription be published by Breitkopf and assured the Leipzig publishers that this edition would be authorized by the Viennese publisher Haslinger. Breitkopf and Härtel in this letter express eagerness to move quickly on this project and ask Haslinger for confirmation of Liszt's assurances.
