Written on back: Das Bild zeigt das am 13, Juni 1801 eröffnete Theater/an der Wien, das zum Schauplatz glanzvollster Ereignisse der österreichischen Theater- und Musikgeschichte wurde. Beethovens ,,Fidelio , Schuberts ,,Rosamunde , Stücke von Kleist, Grillparzer, Raimund, Nestroy und viele klassiche Wiener Operetten gelangten hier zar Uraufführung. Am 28. Mai 1962 fand die festliche Wiedereöffnung des nunmehr von der Gemeinde Wien übernommen traditionsreichen Hauses statt.
