Zinnia Z. Wilson COVID-19 Photograph of Family Picnic at a Cemetery
One of three photographs of Zinnia Z. Wilson's family members, including Wilson's mother, brother, three cousins, and an in-law, all wearing masks sewn by Wilson's best friend's Mom, while practicing social distancing on a visit to Wilson's father's grave-site. The contributor writes, "My father (Homer P. Zuraek) was only 4 months interred. His birthday was April 8. We were to meet that day but I had been feverish for 4 weeks and was afraid of exposing my family to whatever I might have had. It was surreal being unable to hug each other, comfort each other over our loss. Giving newly made masks to my family was a 'hi-light' of the Covid19 era, as was a group photo of us wearing masks . . . Hard times when we can't comfort one another over deceased family. (Other family who recently lost loved ones couldn't even have a memorial for their loved ones.) We were 'lucky' Covid19 happened AFTER my Dad was buried."
