Schindler/Moscheles Lock of Beethoven's Hair

Lock of hair attributed to Beethoven, cut from Beethoven's head by Anton Felix Schindler and sent to Ignaz Moscheles on 24 March 1827. Attached to a piece of paper with inscription in the hand of Ignaz Moscheles (English translation): "L. v. Beethoven died on March 26, 1827. A. Schindler wrote to me on March 24, 1827: 'I just cut these hairs from his head and am sending them to you.'
