Dorchester Abbey

The great east window of Dorchester Abbey points the way in which religious architecture had proceeded since the geometric tracery of cathedral buildings had again reduced the weight of structure. Glass was now less of a rarity, and interiors, often carved with decorative foliage, flowers and figures, could flood with multicolored light.
