Dr. Ernesto Galarza Scholarship Symposium Program 1992

Program for the 8th Annual Dr. Ernesto Galarza Symposium, held at San Jose State University on Friday, April 3, 1992 at 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. This event included a Social Hour, Welcome by Dr. Lou Holscher, Dr. Dean Batt (Interim Executive Vice President, SJSU), and Ms. Lupe Zuniga (President, Chicano/Latino Faculty and Staff Association), Introduction of Keynote Speaker by Professor Jose Villa, Keynote Presentation by Joe Coto (Superintendent, East Side Union High School District), Presentation of Scholarships by Dr. Consuelo Rodriguez, and Closing Remarks by Mae Galarza. Seven awards were presented: Tom Alvarado Scholarship, Mexican American Community Services Association (MACSA) Scholarship, Chicano/Latino Faculty and Staff Association Scholarship (2 awards), El Observador Scholarship, Kiwanis de San José Scholarship, and SJSU College of Social Work Scholarship.
