Pistol receipt

Receipt for an order for a Smith and Wesson Magnum 9,07mm pistol, signed by George Doroles, a member of the Monterey Police Department, dated 1946-04-06. The order was placed with the Stoeger Arms Corporation, which itself manufactured and imported weapons. Presumably this order was placed for Steinbeck, who then had the pistol shipped to his residence in New York City (see photo number 1 884). High-quality color photocopy only.
