Sapho Literary Club.

Members of the Sapho Club in Spring 1900. Morris E. Dailey, President of the San Jose State Normal school from 1900-1918 is in the fourth row among the members. The Sapho literary club was originally organized in September 1898 as a literary club with an aim at studying general literature. At the time this photograph was taken, Dr. Morris E. Dailey was its only brother as it was an only female club.
