Broadside Directing Japanese-American Citizens to Present Themselves for "Evacuation"
Photographic reproduction of a broadside found in the Smith Family Papers on World War II (MS0065), Box 2, Folder 1. The broadside is from April 1942, directing "all persons of Japanese ancestry" in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties to present themselves for "evacuation" at the American Legion building in Santa Barbara. Twenty-four Japanese-American students left Cal Poly to comply.
