LCC (Local Coordinating Council) Questionnaire
This document contains the Ventura County Public Employees Local Coordinating Council questionnaire and Jane Tolmach's completed responses during her 1976 Assembly campaign. Tolmach expresses conditional support for public employee strikes and binding arbitration when public safety is at risk, calls for tax reform and reconsideration of SB 90's spending limits, and supports collective bargaining decisions being negotiated rather than mandated by state law. She favors construction of a third community college, highway improvements, and opposes strip mining, while reserving judgment on the LNG plant and steel plant pending environmental review. On a proposed commercial airport, she supports it only if studies show no harm to communities and taxpayers. She identifies three major campaign issues as establishing a four-year college in Ventura County, achieving fair tax reform, and providing experienced, effective representation in Sacramento based on her local government background.
