Exeter Cathedral

The triforium stage at Exeter is reduced in size, allowing a high clerestory which provides plenty of light to the interior. The aisle windows are correspondingly large and also contribute to the new feeling of lightness. The gallery over the central bay of this north aisle was provided for a choir to sing during the Palm Sunday ceremonies. There is a similar gallery at Wells.
