Ruins of Glastonbury Abbey. This photograph was taken by Elaine in 1984 when she re-visited Somerset and Discove Cottage, where she and John Steinbeck stayed while he was working on his retelling of the King Arthur Stories. Unfinished by Steinbeck, Elaine had the manuscript published in 1976 as The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights.
