Letter from Nino Pontini to Gertrude Behr (1969-01-28)
Typewritten letter from Nino Ponti to Gertrude Behr, dated 28 January 1969, sent from Trieste, Italy, to Tamworth, NH, requesting documents for the commemoration of A.W. Thayer during the Beethoven bicentennial celebrations in 1970, with draft of Mrs. Behr's response written in pencil on the verso. Gertrude Behr was the grand-daughter of A. W. Thayer's brother Henry Thayer. Ponti misidentifies Mrs. Behr as A. W. Thayer's grand-daughter, rather than his grand-niece.
