[Performers in the Block P Circus, 1931]
A group men students dressed as women hula dancers. This group performed at the "Block "P" Circus" in Crandall Gym in March 1931. In the yearbook they were described as "The world famous Miss Georgia Sawday and her "hip-shaking artists." The Circus was a fundraiser for the Block "P" Club, for purchasing sweaters and maintaining the school's athletic field. Printed in the 1931 El Rodeo Yearbook with the caption "Unlaxed."
