Drawing sketch of John Steinbeck, based on photo taken while Steinbeck was touring for Travels with Charley. Conrad did this as a study for a large mural he was working on which was found at Earthling Book Store on State Street in Santa Barbara, California. Bookstore went defunct in 1990s. Year given is for the photograph and not the drawing.Original is hangs in the Center (photo of original in safe).
