Bo and Greta Beskow at Midsummer day Festival in Skåne, Sweden in June of 1957. John Steinbeck sits in back smoking a cigarette. Bo Beskow was a Swedish artist and writer. Steinbeck and Beskow met in New York in 1937 and continued their friendship for more than thirty years. Beskow painted three portraits of Steinbeck. See photos 0-834, 0-835, 0-836. Original in safe.
