The letter begins with a discussion about the relationship between Whiting and Duncan. Duncan briefly mentions a car accident Whiting had been in as well as briefly clarifies his discussion of the weather in Mammoth. Duncan talks about the photographs he has been taking during Field Studies and makes suggestions about how he and Whiting will organize and prepare the photos for a film.
