Tower of London

The massive nature of the Norman keep is evidenced at the Tower of London. Standing 92 feet high, it contains a chapel, council chamber, and administrative offices. The walls of Norman keeps were frequently of such massive proportions that they contained small mural chambers for sleeping, storage and for sanitary purposes.
