  • Very few of Beethoven’s activities in Vienna in 1787 have been documented. The pianist Maximiliana Willmann, who Beethoven knew from Bonn, performed a Mozart concerto at the Kärntnertortheater on March 7, which he likely attended. When Beethoven had to leave Vienna a few weeks later, after learning of his mother’s serious illness, he took the route to Munich to visit Willmann’s family there.
