The Steinbeck House, Salinas, California

The Steinbeck house at 132 Central Avenue, Salinas. Built in Queen Anne-style in 1897 it was purchased by The Steinbecks in 1900. Steinbeck was born in the bedroom to left of the entrance. The sign in front reads "Valley Guild's Steinbeck House A volunteer project operated by Valley Guild menbers. Luncheon 11:45 & 1:15. For reservations call 424 2715." This photo is from the postcard.
