Manuscript copy of Ah perfido, op. 65
Manuscript score of "Ah perfido" for soprano and orchestra, with text in Italian and German, written in ink in an unidentified hand on music manuscript paper, 14 staves per page, possibly dating from before the appearance of the first edition of the score published by C.F. Peters in 1856. Sewn in brown paper folder with label on inside cover, "aus dem Nachlasse von G.D. Otten." Otten was the founder of the Hamburg Musik-Verein, where Brahms performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto no. 5 on Nov. 24, 1855.
