Stonehenge

This remarkable structure, which stands near Avebury, forms the center of a complex pattern of Neolithic and early Bronze Age remains extending over several square miles. It was in continuous use for a period of about four centuries, and represents the work of late Neolithic, as well as Beaker people, and the community which emerged by fusion of these two.
